Bendor & Graves 2015-9-11

It was one of those fabulous hikes that stays in your memory and buoys your spirit for a long time.

Yesterday, September 11, 2015 we had twelve hikers representing eight different countries and five different continents, hiking nine kilometers only five minutes from Newmarket at the Bendor Graves Tract. We had Frank and Dianne born in Canada; Bill, Cornelius and John from Germany; Mei and Wai from Hong Kong, China; Fazyah from Guyana; Maha from Lebanon; Liz and Chase from the U.S.A.; Jadwiga from Poland and Dervish from Australia! Truly, ORTA AROUND THE WORLD!!

It was a marvelous hike, largely due to the exemplary group we were. We stayed together, kept up with the pace and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, despite a bit of drizzle, as we tramped through the wilderness of some of the lesser known trails here at Bendor Graves. The pictures will suffice for any further explanations.
